Your VirtualNewsCenter® anchor(s) send your completed news reports to our server, which makes them available to download via FTP or HTTP (web).
Our “server” is actually a redundant array of servers with components in Dallas and Atlanta. Since it was brought online in mid-2011, the server array has experienced less than .001% downtime (approximately 3 minutes in the past year, all of it due to scheduled maintenance). This is nearly an order of magnitude better than the most-reliable satellite delivery system, which experiences outages of approximately 3 hours per year due to sun fade.
We support both WAV and MP3 audio formats for your newscasts, and we have stations who are auto-downloading newscasts each day using these well-known automation systems and others:
- WideOrbit (version-dependent)
- SS32 (version-dependent)
- NexGen and Player 101
- Dial Global
- Radio Spider
If your system is capable of auto-loading an MP3 or WAV file, we can help you get it working with our system. Some older automation systems may not allow for anything but real-time, manual audio ingest. It may be possible in limited instances (such as Player 101) to write some macros or scripting to auto-load the files. There is a one-time fee associated with the custom programming necessary to make this happen.
